In a beautiful mountain town, a young girl is up with the sun. It is early spring and the trees are flowering, setting out their first leaves. Everywhere she turns, she finds occasion to be grateful. Her home, family, school, best friend, and even the day itself are reasons for appreciation. When it starts to rain, she looks sadly out the schoolroom window. Will she be able to go out for recess? Remembering to be grateful, she turns sadness into joy. The shower passes, as showers do, and she spends the rest of the day with her best friend, enjoying and appreciating the people and places that constitute her world. Illustrated with warmth and humor, Thank You, God is an exuberant reminder to all children of the power of appreciation.
